Egypt's PM Samir Ghattas
Cairo - Mohamed Al Toni

Egypt's parliamentary Samir Ghattas, refused the declaration of repentance from a number of imprisoned members of the banned Muslim Brotherhood (MB) organization, submitted to the presidency.

"I refuse to include MB's member in the lists of the presidential pardon, which is awaiting the decision of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi," he said.
The Egyptian MP explained that there is no guarantee of the sincerity of their repentance and abandoning their extremist thoughts and tendencies, pointing out that it could be a plot of the extremist group to return once again to the political life and regroup to do extreme and disruptive actions.

Ghattas described the repentance declaration as MB's tactic to regain their influence and strength.
He stressed that the Interior Ministry is the only body that can make sure of their repentance by monitoring their movements and tests imposed on them to prove the sincerity of their intention to abandon the organization.

Concerning the government of Egypt's Prime Minister, Sherif Ismail, and the importance of the expected reshuffle,  Ghattas described it as "ramshackle government."
He refused what he called "repairing the government" through ministerial changes, pointing out that the current government has lost the constitutional and popular legitimacy, after its failing to comply with its program before the House of Representatives.

Ghattas called also for the dismissal of the government, including Sherif Ismail, because it failed to end the suffering of the Egyptian people.
